Search online for the cat's owner.  Create a "found pet" post.

Veterinary
Clinics

Scan for a microchip at the vet or if injured take to the vet.

Animal Shelters

Take the cat to the local shelter ONLY IF ALL ELSE FAILS**

**Shelters DO NOT actively search for the pet's owners, and they may hold the animal for 5-7 days before the pet is adopted out to another family or, in worst cases, euthanized.
